Group Activity – Reading a research paper

Critical analysis and creative thinking for Vision-Based Eye-Gaze Tracking for Human Computer Interface

The paper states that there are 2 problems that arise for iris tracking using a head mounted camera, namely;
1.      Covering the top and bottom of the Limbus by the eyelids
2.      Excessive covering of eyes by eyelids

However the paper only discusses about the 1st point throughout the paper which gives in depth information.
Although there are solutions found by the author, some of their solutions are still defected and not complete which is a downside.

The paper concentrates on 1 problem and has given an extensive research about it. Enhancements and creativeness is shown by including a lot of images for better understating.

The research paper has experiments conducted to support their theory and to arrive at their solutions to improve eye gaze tracking method. But their solutions are restricted to 1 screen resolutions although there are many

The drawback of this paper is that it requires some prerequisite knowledge on the area in order to understand the terminology and the calculations used.
